Markham City Open….Successful

We jumped head first into 2025 with our annual fundraising event, the Markham City Open 2025. MCO25 was a resounding success. Breaking all records, parents and volunteers of NOX Dojo and Club Seiryu put on a great show with over 650 athletes and spectators in attendance. Even though our event was just after the holidays on January 11th, 2025, our team managed the project like a well oiled machine. The success of the event could not have been possible without the assistance of Karate Ontario and the AKC affiliate clubs. In addition, our sponsors, George’s Tastee Bakery and Peter and Suzi’s No Frills deserves a massive shout out for donating some of our snacks for our coaches and lunches.

This event would not have ran smoothly without the help and leadership of members of Club Seiryu ExCom, Stephanie C., Ann T., Ann F, Joe L, Jessica L., and Kim V. They rallied our team of volunteers who helped with SportData, registration, mat setup/teardown, etc… We continue to be a shiny example to our community. Thank you for being an important part of the dojo tribe.
