Aikido Seishinkai

The annual Canadian Aikido Federation Examination Committee Seminar in Toronto took place on December 7th and 8th at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. There were over fifty participants including several from NOX Dojo. 

Aikido Seishinkai Chief Instructor, Shihan George Hewson, taught one of the classes and led the Examination Panel. Aikido Seishinkai student, Robert Tecson, was successful on his test for Nidan (second degree black belt).

The event was saddened by the death of Shihan Yumi Nakamura just days before. She had been a pillar of Aikido in Canada for decades, an inspiration for everyone (especially the female students), and a close personal friend of Shihan Hewson
