Noah Rises To All Challenges
Meet Noah Sansait. Noah travels from London, Ontario multiple times per month to Markham to fine tune his forms. He does everything Karate. You will see him compete in multiple organizations. Since being a part of NOX Dojo and it sports karate team, Club Seiryu, he has made both Provincial and National teams. He also trains virtual with Sensei Sean’s colleague in Florida, Sensei Robert Young and Olympic Bronze Medalist, Ariel Torres Gutierrez.
Representing his nation and all of his Senseis, he competed in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham this past summer. He was joined by his Club Seiryu teammate Zachary Chin. As they are both in the same division, the biggest fear would be that they have to eventually compete against each other. They were in separate pools at the start of the tournament. As fate would have it, they both made it to the bronze medal round. Unlike in nationals where they were in different pools the entire time, in Birmingham, they had a face off together for bronze in their final round. Because of this, only one Canadian would bring home a medal. Both chose Suparimpe. The highest level kata in the Goju Ryu system. On this day, Noah took the match for the bronze.
Every member of our elite team made the 2022 provincial team. Of those six athletes, three made the national team roster. To date their standing is as follows:
Cadence Troung = 3rd Pan Ams (U14 Female Kata)
Noah Sansait = 3rd Commonwealth (U16 Make Kata)
Zachary Chin - 5th Commonwealth (U16 Make Kata)
Our athletes are determined to achieve a new personal best this season. With new kata and new training routines, they are focussed and motived. Good luck to all of our athletes in both our recreational and elite levels.
