We are pleased to announce that Andrew McAdam-Wong of NOX Martial Arts and his teammates from Goulding Karate earned bronze at the Pan American Karate Championships in Santiago, Chile in September. The team is pleased with the outcome despite admitting that it wasn’t their best performance. They had a wonderful experience abroad and established new friendships in the international circle of Karate.

Overall, Canada came fourth bringing in the most medals in Canada’s history. New rules now permit a 12 – 14 year old division for international competition. However, Ontario will wait on the advice from Sport Canada if they would approve athletes this young to pursue an elite level of competition.
Andrew is no longer eligible to compete at the junior level and has moved up the the adult level this year. Congratulations and good luck to a 2008/2009 competitive season.
