Open House Success

NOX/MMKD hosted Sensei Richard Fall of the London Goju Club on September 15th. Members were fortunate to have Sensei Fall share his vast knowledge of both grappling and kobudo. Sensei Fall’s experience of weaponry is from Sensei Richard Kim of the Butokukai of the west and Dai Sensei Yagi Meitoku of Meibukan.

Sensei Fall is one of Canada’s original Meibukan practitioners and has influenced many of today’s Meibukan instructors. His teachings of locks, takedowns, and ground escapes were concise and practical. Extreme martial arts has been a part of Sensei Fall’s history long before it was popular in North America. In the 80′s, as a part of a full contact team, he traveled to Japan where competed in Shoot Fighting. His stories of the lessons he learned the hard way is inspiring. These lessons helped him refine his technique into an art today.

Those wishing to attend but couldn’t make it will be pleased to note that he will be making a return visit on December 8th. His knowledge is vast in this area and it is well worth the time to participate.
