Imagine your son or daughter waking up everyday walking to school expecting violence. Praying that he or she won’t be the target victim today. To me, even if it was just one day in the life of my child, it is one day too much. Those of us who teach Karate know that this is one reason students come to us for help.
The Argos Foundation also believes in reducing street violence and on August 15th, NOX supported Festival 4 Athletes to raise money and awareness for their cause. Professional athletes and Olympic medalists joined with amateur athletes in a fun and exciting fitness competition. NOX not only sponsored the event but also had a team of 10 this year.
Andrew, Tania, Kiana, Jasper, Anna, Morana, Daniel, Scott, Alysha, and Maria all took part in an effort to make a difference in peoples lives. Not only did they have fun, but the team also did well by earning 4 top spots. Kudos to reigning champ Morana, as well as Scott, Maria, and Alysha for earing Gold. Special mention goes to little 4 year old Jasper who competed in the under 11 class.
