Congratulations to Lucy Masson of the Meibukan Australia Hombu – Wong Dojo. After returning from Sakumoto World Championships in Naha City, Okinawa last summer with a podium finish, Lucy returned to Australia in fine form to win GOLD at the national level of the Australian Martial Arts Championships last month. Lucy Masson is an established competitor in both Karate and Kobudo. Masson is the daughter of Kancho Johannes Wong and also has a daughter who is an avid Karate-ka and competitor.

Kancho Wong has been the leading Meibukan practitioner in Australia and is a top student and representative of Master Masaaki Ikemiyagi (Okinawa-shi Meibukan Dojo). He is also heading a team to compete in the World Okinawa Karate and Kobudo Tournament this August in Naha, Okinawa. As a judge, coach, Sensei, and former competitor, Kancho Wong brings a wealth of winning experience to the teaching of Karate to his family and team.
